We want everyone to be able to use this site. It is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, which includes the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard that UMass Chan requires for its websites.

What we have done

Last reviewed September 2026. Every page was checked with an automated tester (axe-core) and by hand for keyboard use, focus, color contrast, zoom and reflow, and text spacing.

  • Every image has a text description, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
  • Text and controls meet contrast standards, links in text are underlined, and every link and button shows a clear focus outline.
  • Every page works with a keyboard alone and starts with a link that skips to the main content.
  • Pages reflow to fit small screens and high zoom levels, and the credits table scrolls sideways on narrow screens.
